Product for Highlighted Hair?

My hair gets highlights a lot, so it's damaged. I have thin, fine hair and I ALWAYS use salon products b/c of the damage that's done to my hair. Is there something to help my hair's health while getting highlights? I know the bleach is bad for it, but I like getting highlights, sometimes 3 colors! I love getting them but it causes so much damage!!!!Product for Highlighted Hair?
First let me say I am a Paul Mitchell Associate. I attended a Paul Mitchell Cosmotology school so in short I know what I am talking about. You are right lightening your hair does damage it but as long as you keep doing it, its going to remain in a damaged state. You probably dont know this but you can lift color with color. Your hair stylest should be able to tell you more about this. As for what you can do to help repair your hair, Paul Mitchell has tons of products alot for extremely damaged hair. The first I am going to tell you about is Paul Mitchells moisture line. Instant moisture shampoo will really add that extra hydration needed whill shampooing. When you shampoo your cuticles open in your hair leaving the cortex vulnarable to drying out, The Instant Moisture Complex absorbs UV rays and provides superior conditioning, penetrating deep into the hair where it helps protect both the cuticle and cortex. It also thickens and repairs 鈥?Panthenol penetrates deep into the hair to add volume and increase body; panthenol also attaches to the surface to help repair damaged cuticle layers also with ingredients such as Chamomile, henna, rosemary, aloe vera and jojoba combined with state-of-the-art conditioners help intensify shine. The Intsant moisture daily treatment HYDRATES AND REVIVES

DRY HAIR

Moisturizes and Strengthens 鈥?Soy proteins and shea butter join forces with Instant Moisture Complex to instantly moisturize, improve strength and enhance elasticity

Detangles and Adds Shine 鈥?A special combination of detangling agents provide excellent slip to the hair and intense shine

Thickens and Repairs 鈥?Panthenol penetrates deep into the hair to add volume and increase body; panthenol also attaches to the surface to help repair damaged cuticle layers. This is acctually just a few I will leave you the web site you can go to, to get all of our products and uses. I hope that this helps. Also rinse your conditioner out with cold water this will help really well with softening and keeping in the moisturizers.Product for Highlighted Hair?
you have to use a'; leave in';conditioner to keep it protected -not just while processing-everyday you're highlighted hair will thank you
Hey there!! I get highlights too!! Haven't done 3 colors in a while though. But I know what you mean; can totally relate to the texture of hair too. I use this great stuff....Aveda product the conditioner is awesome for blonde highlights...It's called ';Blue Malva'; but there are others that are good on other colors too. I use the ';Sap Moss'; shampoo too. My color stays until it's time for root touch up and doesn't fade!!

I got the link for you below to both the products mentioned above; but I love the way my hair feels after I wash it with this stuff.
If you keep highlighting your hair so much you are going to have breakage so bad that you will either have to cut it off or your hair will look uneven from the breakage. You need to condition, condition, condition....constantly. Use Aussie 3 minute miracle or the Curing Muddy. These are great. Whenever you can put it in your hair with a plastic bag covering it overnight. Rinse out in the morning. If you don't do a conditioning regimen, I can guarantee you that your hair will break off. I'm sure you would look lovely bald, but do you really want that?
If you just can't give up the highlights, just be sure to keep your hair well moisturized and be gentle in washing and caring for it. Try to avoid heat styling if you can as that will only add to the damage. Salon products aren't always better just because they're more expensive. Use a gentle shampoo and conditioner, do some deep conditioning treatments every few weeks (or however often you feel your hair needs it) and hopefully you'll see some improvement. I know a lot of women who dilute their shampoo with water to help make it less harsh on their hair so maybe try that and see if it works for you or not.

Hope that helps!
i found this stuff called ';it's a ten'; at my local beauty store and it works amazinggggly. its cheap and very effective.

and in response to the person above me.. i too went to cosmetology school and i had it stomped into my brain that you can never EVER lift color with color. yes, you can lift natural color, but if she gets the rest of it colored as well, she cannot use color to lift.
