Highlighting hair... color?

My friend has dark brown/black hair.


She wants to get navy and burgundy highlights.


Does anyone have/ know anyone with these colors?


Do you think it will look good?





She doesn't want it to be BAM I have blue and red highlights, she wants it more settle, but still noticeable.Highlighting hair... color?
Yeah it will look good! Navy and burgundy would look good with dark brownish-blackish hair. Its better if she does get the navy and burgundy because it wouldn't stand out as much as regular blue and regular red and it *would* be settle. It would look great basically.

Okay, I'm not a hair expert, but I will warn you, it's difficult to die dark hair.


My friend has black hair, and it took 6 hours for the entire process (I think she wanted medium brown streaks.)


First her hair was bleached where she wanted it streaked.


The dye was added.


It didn't even show.


After several failed attempts and multiple washings, the stylist added a bright purple to her hair in hopes that it would show.


It worked - and came out as a very subtle, dark russet-brown that is actually kind of hard to see unless you look for it.
Personally, i don't think that its a great idea to choose those colors. But i you really wanna know the results, download makeup pilot. You can apply those colors in her hair and see if it would good nice.
hot topic has some really cool ones,no im not gothic or emo but my friend uses them and they look very very good :) and yes i think it would look really pretty and also if u dont have a hot topic you could try target walmart and big lots they also have coloring productsthat are cheap (betweeen 5 to about 12 bucks) and they work very well,i use them and they are super awesome
OMGG please dont do it ...ONE of my friends got it and it looked really bad the blue mixed and messed up her natural hair color...Ehhh however im talkin bout the navy highlights ...but still the burgundy will look mUCHHH better
i have never seen any one with that colour of hair with those streaks but i think that sounds so cool .. i think it would be cool if the red was like a mix with purple too :)
she should go 2 a salon and get a hair glaze thats dark brown with auburn in it. it looks great and makes ur hair really shiny.
she could do some maroon streaks that would look nice
