For a 17 year old male with dark brown hair, you think blond highlights/streaks look gay?

My hair is such a dark brown that it's kind of ugly IMO... I'm gonna get subtle highlights, you think that it's a bad idea? Is it gay in a way?

To me, that sounds cute (in the ';OMG he's cute'; kind of way). No it doesn't sound gay. Lots of guys get streaks in their hair and it made most of them look better. I'd say go for it.
