Hair dying and highlighting question?

okay so i want to dye my hair and highlight it and i was wondering if i should dye it and let it set overnight and highlight it tommorrow or do it all in one? please help lol my husband said dye now highlight tommorrow but i was always under the impression you dye and highlight the same day like salons?Hair dying and highlighting question?

You want to dye your hair and let it set %26amp; dry overnight. Then highlight it tomorrow. If you highlight it the same day, it can mess up your hair. The highlight can run in with the dye and make your hair a different shade. You want to dye it one day and highlight it the next day.
I would do it all at the same time and get it done, it saves time. If the salons can do it why can't you?
