if you're too scared you should take her to the salon. she will need like caramel colored highlights to look more natural in dark hair. if you don't want to pay the price if she has a job like babysitting or whatever tell her she needs to pay for half. its better than running the risk of bleaching her hair and then having to go to the salon for them to fix it which could wind up costing you MORE. highlighting is a tricky process. call local salons to see which one has the best price or ask your friends where they go or even where you go to get your hair done so they don't charge you too much and its a place you can trust with quality. good luck =]

What color highlights should you get if your hair color is really dark brown
my daughter has been begging to get highlights, but in not willing to pay the hefty price at a salon, i offered to do it myself. however, what affect will it have or how much more difficult does it become when your starting with hair that is really dark? i'm scared of accidentally beaching her hair!!!What color highlights should you get if your hair color is really dark brown
