Are highlights bad for hair?

I heard they aren't but my friend is not convinced.Are highlights bad for hair?

Yes, they are. Although if you go to a beauty salon they may have some natural products that won't damage the same as the regular ones.
yeah. i did highlight and my ends are very dry. they feel rough and they get tangy more. but i did highlight twice in the same spots so guess i burned them. now i wait wait until my hair grows and i can cut them.





but if you want to do highlights you should do it, just remember dont put color twice on the same strands. if you need to dye your roots just fix up your roots not the whole thing.
yes putting any chemicals in ur hair will harm it . but not as much as like bleaching ur whole head or something

Any kind of dying or bleaching isn't really healthy for your hair because bleaching strips the hair. However, it won't seriously hurt your hair and if you use a special shampoo that repairs sun and chemical damage your hair will be back to normal in no time. Highlights are fun and look good, I'd recommend going for it if I were you. :)
